I write about issues in the philosophy of cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and metaphysics. I also have interests in general philosophy of science and artificial intelligence. One strand of my current research is concerned with central issues in philosophy of cognitive science such as the nature of conscious perception, boundary between perception and cognition, and cognitive architecture. In my dissertation project, I approach these issues through the lens of memory and time. The other strand of my research explores the relevance of cognitive science to metaphysics. Both the starting point (e.g., the 'manifest image') and methodology (e.g., conceptual analysis) of metaphysics involve empirical questions about the human mind.
