Paolo Santorio (PhD, MIT) is a Professor in philosophy. His main research centers on topics in philosophy of language and mind and formal semantics: these include conditionals, modals, variables, expressivism, future-oriented language, and scalar implicature. He also has strong interests in topics in metaphysics and epistemology at large, and in metaethics. Prior to coming to UMD, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Australian National University and was on the faculty at the University of Leeds and UC San Diego.
