Congratulations to the Ethics Bowl Team!

Ethics Bowl Team in the semifinals at the National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl.

On March 4th and 5th, the 2022-23 UMD Ethics Bowl Team competed in the National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl. At this event, the 32 best teams of the nearly 300 who participated at the regional qualifiers competed to determine the overall best team in the country. After a competitive round robin, they got as far as the semifinals as the eighth seed in a bracket of eight by defeating the first seed, University of Chicago, in an astonishing upset in the first round! While they were not ultimately able to win the entire tournament, they are elated at the fact that they are in the top four teams in the country.
