Prerequisite: 9 hours of philosophy, including at least one course in value theory and one in metaphysics, epistemology or mind, OR permission of instructor. Extended practice in writing a philosophy paper, preparing it for public presentation, addressing criticisms, and responding constructively to others' work. Intended for students with background and initiative in philosophy. Students will select their own topics with the instructor.
